As an invocation for the launch of my 8 week course, November 1st, Mind Body Ritual: A course in extraordinary living, I thought a simple Sacred Sunday video to set us up for the coming weeks of creating new routines to start the process of self inquiry, would be a really great way to get the ball rolling.
Mantra: I’m a good bet. This time I’m going all in, I’ve got nothing to lose.
Movement: Childs Pose for 2 minutes
On back: full body stretch, tension release.
joint rotations: wrists/ankles, knees/elbow, hips, shake it out
supine knee down twist with shoulder rotation around body
rolling on spine to seated
table top: organic loose movement, head/tailbone, spine, shoulders, ribs.
cat/cow-down dog combo
forward fold: lateral sway to standing
Ritual: Pick a way to start your day. One little token of presence for you to do every morning, first thing when you wake up. Some examples: light a candle, place your feet on the ground and pause to just fell your first steps, look out at nature, light an incense, anything that feels special to you and brings you into the day with grace.
Set your self up for success! Get your day ready the night before. You’ve got this.
