Mind Body Ritual combines meditation, yoga, and self-expression into an hour-long practice of movement and mindfulness. We step outside a traditional studio format by connecting poses with fluid movements, interaction with class mates, and laughter. Monthly themes add a sacred component to this movement practice, and you'll leave feeling restored in body and mind.
The first ten minutes of class will begin with intention setting around a theme, and meditation to dive deeper into our practice. We transition into three movement segments (about 10 min each). First, we warm up the body through spinal flection, joint rotations and lubrication, side body opening and mini flows that give the body a chance to settle into the space and start to open up. From there, we work through weight-bearing movements such as plank pose, downward dog, lunges, and squat. We end with restorative, deep stretching in poses such as spine twists, pigeon, and forward folds. All the movements are cued with detail and alignment (as well as alternatives for a variety of bodies) to ensure the no one is left wondering what to do.
At some point, all willing participants will have time for self expression through guided questions or organic commentary and laughter. The ritual portion varies with use of mudras (hand gesture), mantras (a word/phrase or sound repeated), drawing an oracle card, making a mandala, creating an affirmation, offering a creative personal expression through body movement, writing, drawing, etc. This will set the stage for the final relaxation in Savasana or seated meditation (resting pose).

We will do a few laps around the top of the Mt with the strollers to warm up with a sweet practice under the trees. We will meet in the main entrance of the park at the visitors center. There is a playground for kids to play after the practice. If you need to attend to your little one during class, there are plenty of places to sit and do so and catch up with the group. This class is donation based and will be canceled due to rain. This class can work with a carrier or stroller. Invite a friend! This is an all levels class. Bring your mat and some water. This should be a ton of fun. Really looking forward to it. Friends without children are more than welcome, Dad's, Grandma's and Nanny's too. Everyone Welcome!!

A kick butt work out that will challenge and shake up your routine every time, with components of mindfulness and deep release. The class combines a steady paced, fun yoga inspired warm-up, with a high intensity, dynamic interval workout, using our own bodies as weights and finishes with slow, fluid movements to cool the body. The breath and focused control between movements will be greatly emphasized during our practice. This is a well-round full body/mind workout sure to make the best of your day and the time you have. It is a fast paced class but modifications available for all levels. Come as you are, leave feeling empowered to conquer the day. Drop in rates available.

Coordinating breath with movement there will be a sequenced flow, but this is not a typical flow, repeat, type of class. We will focus on watching the body open and shift as the mind settles into holding postures. Come experience the beauty of opening your body as the day opens to you. This class focuses on increasing mobility and range of motion.

Mama's Slay Yoga and Interval Class

This workout combines a sweet intuitive yoga flow with short burst of body weight intervals. This class is not just for Mama's, but it is Especially for Mama's.
